Me too! I went in, got a tiny chip put in my arm, and now the feds are chasing me.
If you didn't do it, there's no need to fret!
Will Sullivan
This is just another reason to put customers off shopping... they're digging their own grave. I'll gladly go to that funeral.
Andrew Moyle
Why go out when you can shop online for just $2 delivery from Coles and avoid the cameras? 😛
Bobby Clark
In addition, these cameras can record your conversations.
Grant Reid
Remove the cameras and bring back the checkout staff.

Don't forget about those sneaky store spies!
Ange Dimitriou
How are people gonna have a kip knowing about this bloody scary thing, mate?
Bevan Cox
Their business wouldn't need so many if people weren't dodgy. If you don't like their rules, don't bother shopping there. The ones whinging are probably the sticky-fingered ones.
Ashe Murray
Whoa, calm down! The answer to all this theft nonsense is easy-peasy: just make things cheaper. Sure, it won't fix everything, but at least people won't have to resort to swiping grub just to fill their bellies.

Stealing has been happening for ages. The truth is, supermarkets aren't the ones losing out - it's the customers like us who end up paying for it. They make us cover all the costs. Even if inflation goes down, prices still keep going up. That's why places like salvation armies, food banks, and other... View More

I ain't trippin' or feeling guilty, so I couldn't give a damn about the cameras. Let 'em watch.

Supermarkets can stop their sneaky ways by ditching those self-service checkouts and bringing back good ol' checkout operators!
Ciaran Watson
Do you really believe people weren't swiping stuff before those fancy self-service checkouts?
Time to grab those masks before heading to the store. I had to wear one at the Coles in Wentworth Point, they're watching on the cameras at the checkout. Anyone who thinks this is a good idea is out of their mind.

This went down at the Epping Coles! What did you think was gonna happen?!!! 🤣
Chris Clark
Check it out - our awesome IGA is always buzzing with cheery helpful staff! You'd have to be seriously clueless to even consider trying to swipe something from them!
Andrew Badrock
These guys just want us regular Aussies to feel their hate towards us, and I don't know what it's gonna take for you to start messing up their plans every chance you get.
Jason Robinson
They got a whole squad at the cameras makin' bank while they could have a squad out here actually helping and being cool.

"If you're not up to no good, why stress? I used to be a security screener at the airport and we were always being watched on camera. Like I always say, if you're not doing anything shady, then there's no need to worry."
Jack Rivera
Let's bring back the good ol' check out chicks! It's way more fun trying to steal from them. You thought you could save a buck by making us do the work, but now you're paying the price, Coles & Woolies. Serve you right for being so greedy!
Aaron Duffie
Cameras are like the hall monitors of the store, keeping an eye on all the good boys and girls and making sure they play by the rules. But those sneaky crooks manage to slip by with their stolen goodies while we end up paying the price. It's like we're getting punished for their bad behavior!
Peter McPhillip
They installed cameras before renovating the store, and I noticed them when I walked in.

Everyone with a phone will whip out their camera in the store whenever they feel like it, but complain when the store busts out their own to prevent stealing. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Carl Patterson
I would love to see overhead cameras installed in stores like Woolies and Coles to prevent theft and abuse.
They keep jacking up the prices on everything, so people end up stealing stuff because they can't afford it. And even though Cole's tries to stop shoplifting, they keep making a ton of money and adding more security measures.
Craig Williams
In other countries, you can grab a self scanner when you walk in, scan your own stuff as you cruise through the store, tap your card on your way out and bounce. Are there shoplifters? Maybe, but only the ones who were gonna steal regardless. Most folks do the right thing. All this surveillance and c... View More

Reality is... if you don't wanna be on camera, stay at home, don't use any smart devices and shut your blinds.

Don't support them! They're just trying to line their pockets. They'll fold soon enough and switch to something more low-key.

The only issue I'd have is if I was a sneak thief or shopped butt naked. But I ain't doing none of that, so I'm good.
Woolies have cameras at the DIY checkouts as well, I've spotted myself on the telly while scanning my groceries.
Chris Johnson
Hey, if you don't trust us, maybe don't make us scan our own groceries!
